To Whom it May Concern,
Hoosiers for Medical Liberty and I are asking you to support, promote, and vote “yes” to the Worker Protection Act. The act “to prohibit an employer from taking an adverse employment action against a person who has not been or will not be vaccinated” is imperative to protect the constitutional rights of employed Hoosiers.
Employer mandated vaccines would be detrimental to the Hoosier family, workforce, and economy. Our unemployment system has already been greatly impacted by closures related to COVID-19. Protecting Hoosier employment would prevent further stress on unemployment and other social services. Philanthropic organizations serving those in need around the state have seen record numbers of individuals needing assistance. Hoosiers are genuinely concerned about the financial toll employer mandated vaccines would have on their families, finances, general well-being, and decision on whether they should continue to reside in Indiana.
Currently, in Indiana there is legislation to protect certain health care workers from vaccine mandates: however, this is not comprehensive and does not cover all employees. By enacting the Worker Protection Act, you would be ensuring that employees around the state would not have to choose between their livelihood and an unwanted medical procedure.
