2023 Member Ballot
The fight for medical liberty goes to the heart of the question of whether we own our bodies. Medical Liberty is a priority for many. Resources are limited and without adequate funds, H4ML can’t fight everywhere all the time.
As a Hoosier for Medical Liberty member, we are asking you to tell us what you think by casting your ballot below. If you need more information on each topic scroll past and read more.
Thank you for being an active member of Hoosiers for Medical Liberty.

Cut back on opposing Public Health Centralization. The loss of local decision-making on health policy will remove the last line of defense that protected many Hoosiers from government overreach during Covid. Even if it means losing that safeguard, H4ML should cut this program to advance other initiatives.
Public Health Centralization is in full effect. If you aren't up to date on the fight H4ML activists have been engaged in since April of 2022, please visit the home page for all things Governor's Public Health Commission & Public Health 911. Long story short, Governor Holcomb bypassed the legislature creating the Governor's Public Health Commission who met monthly assessing public health in Indiana. In a telling June meeting, they openly discussed the coercive means they would use to remove the ability of county officials to object to any edict passed down from the Governor, the CDC, or the WHO. This committee then made recommendations for legislation, portions of which were made into SB4. During a ferocious battle H4ML activists pushed back and were able to prevent some of the most coercive tactics, but a dangerous loop hole remains. The legislation created a funding structure that is nearly impossible for counties to refuse and we are watching as county commissioners accept the funding and strings to "avoid leaving money on the table." Counties will be subject to rules created by the unelected bureaucrats in the Indiana Department of Health (IDOH). These rules are subject to change and funding eligibility hinges on county compliance. What happens when IDOH creates new rules regarding limitation of gatherings, public masking, or even contact tracing for future "public health threats?" Will counties be willing to shut down newly funded projects, terminate new employees, and cut services to avoid these communist rules? Cease opposition to vaccine passports. Vaccine passports threaten privacy rights and open the door to all sorts of discriminatory actions over personal and private medical decisions. Despite the Indiana Senate’s attempt to create a “VAX Pass” barcode this year, H4ML should cut this program in order to advance other initiatives.
In 2021, H4ML activists forced the legislature to pass a law banning state issued vaccine passports. It was a knock-down drag out session in attempt to secure Medical Liberty for Hoosiers. Check out all the happenings of that year under the "Indiana Legislation" tab or just click here. Ultimately, this policy was mere crumbs compared to what activists were clamoring for in the midst of the covid fallout. It was purely an appeasement in hopes of pacifying H4ML activists. A short 2 years later, in 2023 the same legislators that created this law would turn around and attempt to create a state issued vaccine passport. Initially, they claimed it was for travel purposes for citizens. Realizing that this was the very essence of a vaccine passport they declared the barcode was needed for transfer of records for school children. Indiana has a vaccine registry that all Hoosiers are added to without their consent. Your provider is required by law to submit your records to the state data base. Schools often lump consent to access the registry in with standard registration paperwork, conveniently leaving a declination off the electronic registration forms. All schools have access and are required to update vaccine records in the system. Their claims of needing the barcode for school transfer purposes was unjustified. SB47 (2023) would have required your state vaccine record to contain a scannable code sharing your records with anyone who has access to it. While not presented as a vaccine passport, this addition would have had all the function of a vaccine passport. Hoosiers for Medical Liberty was able to alert constituents through text messages upon finding the bill. Hoosiers took initiative to testify at the state house and ultimately killed the bill because of the speed and efficiency of H4ML's calls to action. How long before the legislature makes another attempt to do something similar? |
Suspend efforts to repeal discriminatory laws against parents and employees. I know that Hoosier parents face DCS investigation for neglect or abuse, and threats for a reduction in parenting time based on vaccination status. I also know that during the next ‘health crisis,’ employees that use vaccine exemptions will be discriminated against by being forced to submit to twice-a-week testing. Still, H4ML should suspend efforts to repeal discriminatory laws against parents and employees and only focus on stopping new bad laws.
This year SB 345 (2023) was passed into law protecting foster and adoptive families from being denied a license due to the vaccination status of family members. This battle was intense but well worth it. H4ML activists embarked on this journey in 2022 and should be incredibly proud of the swift turnaround time on this issue. Unfortunately, the fight to end discrimination related to vaccination status is far from over. Families who decline vaccination are subject to increased scrutiny and even DCS investigation over allegations of abuse or neglect. Hoosiers families who opt out of vaccination report being terrified to visit the hospital or clinics because of profiling or targeting based on their private medical choices. Worse yet, some parents have risked loss of parenting time or medical decision making due to exercising their right to freedom of religion and declining vaccination for their children. Hoosiers, we have a lot of work to do in this arena. Hoosiers need legislative protection to prevent any interference with parental rights as a result of vaccination status. Parents aren't the only ones facing discrimination. Employees are still subject to the discriminatory testing put into place by HB1001 (2022) due to exercising their right to freedom of religion and declining COVID-19 vaccination. Unfortunately, this law will likely set a precedent for future "public health crisis" ensuring that anytime an employee uses an exemption they could be subject to TWICE WEEKLY testing under the threat of job loss. We must get this discriminatory testing removed from the law along with many other issues in this particular code. HB1127 (2023) would have addressed some of these issues however it never got a hearing. Truthfully this bill still isn't enough. Medical mandates are not acceptable. Fight Everywhere! My decisions regarding my health care are nobody’s business! Hoosiers for Medical Liberty has my full support to fight the county health department takeover, oppose any attempts at a vaccine passport, dismantle every discriminatory law that punishes people based on personal and private medical decisions, and take a full offensive stance to end medical mandates!
You are going to want to check out our latest petition to restore BODILY INTEGRITY. This petition will send a clear message to politicians that Hoosiers refuse medical mandates of any kind in our state. We will no longer allow our bodies to be the bargaining chip. Once we loose the rights to our bodies we have nothing left. Hoosiers will not be satisfied until medical mandates are a thing of the past. We need reinforcements. Reinforcements via activism. We are the most trusted and most effective Medical Liberty group in Indiana because of our integrity and speed at which we can mobilize activists. Here is how you can help:
