HB1001 Passes the senate

3/1/2022

This is going to be incredibly short.

HB1001 passed on 3rd reading in the senate. However, it may make a stop in conference committee. We will provide updates for that as soon as we know but it may be very short notice.

Once we know if it will go to conference committee and who the conferees and advisors will be we will push a call to action. Our goal is to remove the discriminatory testing.

If you would like to you can work in advance collecting the information to support your stance.

Regardless of if the bill goes to conference committee the bills next stop will be the governor's desk. He can still veto and send it back. This is a very interesting time and there truly is no telling what will happen.

We likely won't do widespread calls to action for the rest of this bill, if you want the updates you will need to have already texted 260-286-0988 the code 1001 or do so now.  We will use this list to send out calls to action.  Please let your friends know if they would like timely updates.

When texting please only send the code: 1001. If you send anything else in that text you will not get added unless I do it manually- which is not a guarantee.

Thank you again for your dedication!
Ashley

This is frustrating so I am venting a little.
I appreciate so much the work you do to keep us informed and the calls to action. What irritates me is that our senators / legislatures don't listen the first, second, third time we call. I have a job and cannot always drop what I am doing to call in a two hour window. If I called the day before, why aren't the senators listening. Why do I need to call every single time they go to committee within days of each other. Goodness gracious, does the slate get wiped clean every day and they forget how many of us have called?!
