Volunteering

We are so glad you are here! Knowing where to start can be confusing, I hope this will help break it down and we can all learn as a team. Below you will find descriptions of different ways that you can become active. Your role doesn't have to be a huge time commitment, help out where you can and let us know when you need to take a break. We will all work together to make sure that the work does not fall on one persons shoulders.

Membership

Primary goal of this group is to work on ensuring that we are getting to the far reaches of Indiana!
Really everyone should be working on this, our success depends on it. Things you might do:
  • Hang flyers
  • Host local meetings
  • Social Media Warrior

Legislation

This group will work on all the aspects of legislation! This will be a little more involved and require commitment along with training. It will be very involved from January through April.
Things you might do:
  • Reading and tracking legislation
  • Creating new bills & working with legislators.
  • "fostering" bills
  • Performing as a "Watch Dog"

Education

This is an evolving group and will have a lot of different opportunities. The primary goal is to develop solid education for members and guests to the site.
Things you might do:
  • Create educational fliers, brochures, cards
  • Provide information for the website
  • Scout resources to make available for members.
  • Education for Health Care workers

Events

Where are the party planners?  I know you are out there! This group will be working to make sure our events are successful. Some events will be a one time deal others will be annual or more frequent!
Things you might do:
  • V4V banner and sign campaigns
  • Rallies
  • Annual Picnic
  • Statehouse tours

**SPECIAL EVENTS TEAM**

Everyone in this group must complete an application.
Plans and organizes events start to finish.

Public Health 911 Coordinator

Will be responsible for coordinating volunteers, digging into the Governor's Public Health Commission. Following up on leads, directing volunteers who will become experts in one of the "workflows." Assisting legislatively.
Copy writers/editors

Aid in blogs, emails, educational materials. Proof reading and editing. A group will take this on and help edit materials as needed.
Social Media Specialist:
  1. Develops appropriate social media posts including images and text. Working knowledge of Canva helpful.
  2. Schedules posts and communicates with the director when posts   are scheduled.
  3. Monitors analytics to determine best times/posts to make
H4ML Near Me Coordinator(s):
  1. Helps develop documents and resources for Local Partners to streamline set up.
  2. Analyzes “Meeting Review” sent by Director and follows up as appropriate with Local Partners. Identifies concerns or areas for growth and follows up.
  3. Helps identify and recruit Local Partners
Watch Dog Coordinator(s):
  1. Helps develop documents and resources for Watch Dogs.
  2. Analyzes reports sent by Watch Dogs and follows up as appropriate with Watch Dogs. Identifies important notes and summarizes for the director.
  3. Helps identify and recruit Watch Dogs

Fundraising Coordinator

1. Designs and executes fundraisers
May include Merch, local events, direct mail
Education Development Coordinator

Scouts resources to add, develops new material, follows up with current items to ensure up to date.
Parental Rights (School Clinics)

Keeps tabs on School clinics, vaccination programs, no shots no school, not true.
